Shatta Wale signs to Zylofon Music

The 'Ayoo' hit maker, Shatta Wale, has signed a 3-year deal to the Arts and entertainment conglomerate, Zylofon Media, on Wednesday, 31st January 2018. Shatta Wale The CEO, Mr. Nana Appiah Mensah, met with the artiste in their headquarters at East Legon to finalize the deal. This was officially known during the unveiling of the artiste at the Zylofon Headquarters. It is estimated that the enticing deal include a new Rolls Royce, a house and an amount which seems to be higher than the rumoured $1.5million. Zylofon media in respective to this signing will have  Stonebwoy, Becca, Joyce Blessing, Obibini and Kumi Guitar    on their record label. MzVee, Kuami Eugene, others to perform at Tagoe-Saucedo IBO bout

​Musicians MzVee, Kuami Eugene and Nii Funny are among a list of acts billed to perform at Saturday’s International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Lightweight World Championship bout . The bout - “Defend to Glory” - will be a showdown between IBO lightweight champion, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe and his Argentine challenger, Fernando Saucedo. The three musicians and others are expected to take turns to thrill the huge patrons who will throng the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra for the bout. The Game Boy won the IBO title on December 3, 2016, at the Bukom Arena after stopping Mzonke Fana of South Africa, improving his professional record to 27 wins and one defeat. The Ghanaian has previously had stints with the WBA International and WBO Africa titles. Mzvee and Kuami Eugene Fernando Saucedo’s record is his biggest credential aside his global rating. International Boxing Organisation (IBO) World Lightweight champion, Emmanuel “Prophet Gameboy” Tagoe,  said his Argentine opponent, Fernando David Saucedo, would not travel to the end in the ring. A Member of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), Dr Steve Manteaw, is urging the government to make a full disclosure of the details of the petroleum agreement between Ghana and ExxonMobil. According to him, because the government entered into the agreement on behalf of Ghanaians, it is necessary for the details to be made public. Speaking on the topic, “The New Exploration and Production (E&P) Law vis-à-vis the ExxonMobil Agreement” at a PIAC-Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ) workshop at Koforidua over the weekend, Dr Manteaw said it was unfortunate that the government has kept details of the deal under wraps. Asamoah Gyan says he is not moved by persistent attacks by his detractors as he is more concentrated on giving his all for the Black Stars. The Stars captain took to his official Instagram page, Wednesday night, to rubbish allegations of him using black magic to destroy other players in the team to his advantage. Police To Recruit 2,000 Personnel To Combat Crime – Interior Minister

The Ghana Police Service is to recruit 2,000 personnel this year to shore up the numerical strength of the service to effectively combat crime, the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, has said. The decision to increase the number, he said, is aimed at meeting the United Nations target of 500 people to a police officer. According to him, 200 vehicles and 400 motor cycles have been given to the service to beef up its logistical operations. “We are prepared to do better. New stations have been opened in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale to open up more avenues to deal with the security situation,” Mr. Dery stated. Mr. Dery, MP, Nandom, was speaking with the media after meeting Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee with the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu. Capetown likely to face shortage of water

South Africa's second largecity , Capetown, is likely to face a water drought on April 12. The issue projected itself when their total population of  4 million started growing rapidly. Another cause of this massive drought is attributed to #climatechange. According to the city's mayor, Patricia De Lille, the residents have not minimized the usage of water even in the presence of their current predicament. She said, the city will have to apply force to make the residents use water wisely. Residents, who are capable of moving from the city, are currently doing so to minimize the population depending on the water supply.

An Accra District Court has ordered the pathologist who conducted an autopsy on Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, J. B. Danquah-Adu to produce his autopsy report by February 8. This was after Dr Lawrence Edusei, the pathologist who is currently on retirement had told the court that he was working on the report adding that he had so far received pictures from the Police that would help him write the report.

N'na Fanta Camara gave women who had been unable to conceive a mixture of leaves, herbs and other medicines that caused them to bloat and look pregnant. Young Ghanaian boxing champion Isaac Dogboe, a fan of Inter Allies FC, visited the Club’s Head of Office in Accra on Thursday afternoon. The WBO Interim Super Bantamweight Champion was there to present the title he claimed against Cesar Juarez on 6th January, at the Bukom Boxing Arena, to the Club. Isaac Dogboe was accompanied by Paul Dogboe – father/trainer, leader of Team Dogboe and Rising Star Africa Promotions and Assistant Trainers Charles Gameli and Makafui Abotsi.
