AM I STILL THAT SPECIAL ONE

From a foreign land I found love
In a distant land I harnessed and professed that love
To the surprise of the deep blue sea,
You outshone its eminence and made it nothing
Loved ones we were just moments ago.
Until this happened.
Am I still that special one?

I shivered on the first sight of you
I gathered courage to meet you
I conquered the fear and there was you
The words I uttered were true and blue
I could have walked into the ocean for you
I thought the smile was meant to be mine but it was a blur
Am I still that special one?

My tender heart was feeble and weak
I was advised to check the blending a week
A juvenile and youthful exuberance blocked my seek
I cried like the tears of the wick
I elevated you above them all
But you turned to be a cheap mall
Am I still that special one?

Our love manifested the laws of magnetism
We were that until the struck of fictionism
I performed the duties of a father
I forgot my family, friends and focused on you harder
I followed your love just like the sheep follows
You dragged me through the tunnel to the dirty hollows
Am I still that special one?

I prayed God started it again
I was lost and found in your love
That was all, I thought
You were like a phosphene
You never left my sight
But today you appeared as a mirage
Am I still that special one?
